I facilitated customer satisfaction answering telephones and assisting students with general questions and referring students, as required, to an appropriate point-of-contact for additional information and assistance.  Additional duties included making copies and delivering and processing mail.

                               

12/07-01/10         I was included in a corporate downsizing/reorganization at Emdeon Business Services, LLC.

 

11/04-12/07         EMDEON BUSINESS SERVICES, LLC:  Account Executive IV/ Revenue Cycle Adviser

                               

I increased existing customer revenue, for Emdeon, by selling new products and upgrades in the revenue cycle arena. I ensured customer satisfaction by acting as a liaison with the customer throughout the installation cycle accommodating their information system requirements. Additional responsibilities included direct contract negotiation and account management.

 

I worked directly with a USVI health care facility's Business Office, in a competitive bid environment, to sell and manage the implementation of, and training on, a revenue cycle product suite which included address and insurance eligibility verification software, claims management software, ERA management software and denials management software.

I provided consulting and implementation services to support patient access HIS systems in Puerto Rico's unique health care environment. I ensured customer satisfaction by acting as a liaison with the customer throughout the installation cycle accommodating their information system requirements. I ensured a successful product GO-LIVE by training end users and management on the new system and on how to manage their information processing requirements more efficiently, saving time and money, while improving patient care.

 

Implemented patient access computerization projects at several Puerto Rico health care facilities and health systems. Activities included gathering, evaluating and analyzing patient demographic and insurance and billing information with a focus on managing and resolving software implementation issues for the customer.

 

Developed and delivered training on basic PC skills and patient access applications to a multi-function PC user base utilizing internal and external resources requiring the preparation of customized training material, hands-on exercises, and system pathway documentation.

 

Acted as a liaison and translator with the customer, at all levels of the organization, during the installation and post-installation cycle, coordinating and accommodating the customer’s additional system requirements as needed. I typed, edited, and composed routine to complex letters, memos, reports, proposals and contracts using various software packages and electronic mail. Ensured the timely processing of vendor invoices and maintained local vendor files and office filing system. Ensured customer satisfaction by acting as a direct contact with vendors and customers to share and receive information regarding a variety of issues.

 

I resolved issues with office equipment in a timely and efficient manner by placing and following-up on all service calls and interactions. I performed numerous specialized projects and assignments as delegated by the Account Executive and the Gulf Region management team with assignments including, but not limited to, the investigation and resolution of moderately complex tax and regulatory issues working with local government agencies and corporate management to ensure compliance with the requirements of the government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. I monitored and reconciled Puerto Rico customer A/R collections and dispute resolution resulting in the collection of over $400,000 in monthly revenue for the Gulf Region.
